Starting my process of making Beignet's. The word Beignet is French for fritter. I remember trying Beignet's in New Orleans with chicory coffee oh so good! Our waiter brought us a plate piled high with the powdered sugar dusted Beignet's.Oh what a wonderful sight! Once you bite into the Beignet you drizzle honey into the hollow donut and the taste is fabulous.
You can find a great recipe on line ,but for my Beignets I add vanilla,and grated lemon or orange peel.
